Laura, 30, Federal Police officer
Interview with Laura about her life as a police officer.
Why do I get up every morning? So that you can sleep better at night.
I didn’t want an office job, I wanted challenges and variety. And to be on the move.
Laura has been working for the Federal Police for three years and gains valuable experience with every assignment. Above all, that’s because the assignments are so varied. In her work, she patrols the external border in Bavaria and helps with searches. Before the pandemic, she also accompanied football fans on trains and worked at major public events. Some assignments take her away from home for lengthy periods. That means she needs good improvisation and organizational skills.
A job with good prospects.

She always advises anyone interested to try a work experience placement with the Federal Police. That’s simply the best way to get an overview of the many job opportunities the Federal Police have to offer.
